Mel and Gerdy are introducing a new linky party called "Nerd Libs." It reminds me of the "Mad Libs" we used to do in fifth grade when I was a kid. So, nothing fancy, but here's mine.
Head over to Mel and Gerdy's blog to see other Nerd Libs, or to grab the template and create your own.
I love Christmas! Christmas sights and smells, and holiday tunes! I love being warm inside with family, especially if it's snowing outside. :)
Now that it's December it's time to link up with Farley for this month's Currently!
Listening: I love this version of "The Little Drummer Boy" by Pentatonix. This song has always had a special place in my heart, and I love the message about simple gifts from the heart being special. I also enjoy the beautiful harmonies of the voices in this group. I took six years of choir in middle and high school, so I appreciate the training and talent it took to achieve this.
Loving: the cooler weather. Humid summers are not my thing! I can always bundle up when the weather turns colder (and winters here in Tennessee are mild), but I wilt in heat. So far, I've only had to turn the heat on once, and my air conditioner no longer runs non-stop.
Loving the Fall Weather!
Thinking: about what presents to buy for my kids this year. The biggest problem is that they are usually with me when I shop, so I'm going to have to find a way to get out and shop without them. My daughter is a talented writer and artist. She really wants an iPad, but I just can't afford it. Luckily, she knows that and understands. My son would love anything Lego or Star Wars, but I can't believe the prices of those things, either. I'll have to figure something out. Speaking of Star Wars, have you seen the trailer for the new movie, coming out in 2015?
Wanting: everyone to just get along...including my teenagers. ;)
Needing: to prepare for my son's IEP tomorrow. He has high-functioning autism and is highly intelligent. He needs help with his social skills, though. Now that hormones are hitting him, he's having an even more difficult time.
Giving: Krista Wallden, from Creative Clips, challenged all her followers to use some adorable free clipart as part of a gift for others. I used her penguin and Christmas bow, as well as fonts by Kimberly Geswein and Kevin and Amanda to create a couple of banners for TpT's Super Cyber Monday and Tuesday Sale. Then I uploaded them on the sellers forum and to my store so that others could use them for free. It's fun to share!
